Western women get bashed so I thought it was acceptable if I bashed on western men. Deal with it.
BTW I did not think I was bashing, I enjoy the company of westen men, I was just trying to prove a point but obviously to no avail. |

Calling most of us fat and ugly and telling us our Korean girlfriends would leave us if they saw all the good looking males in North America isn't bashing? Telling us to count our blessings that Korean women have no one better to date than us otherwise we'd be "jerking off to hustler on a Saturday night" like we did when living back home isn't bashing?
I agree with you that western women get bashed on here and that's completely and entirely wrong, but bashing back simply promotes the stereotype of bitter, western women that is so prevalent, and wrong, around here.
You're using the playground argument: "I know you are but what am I?". Grow up. |

I don't really mind if people are fat, it's pretty much their own issue.
What I really don't understand are those that wear those 4x shirts and wear shit on em like "Big Daddy" and crap, it's like yeah don't try to be proud of all that. |

All of the western women in Korea are fat, bitchy, bitter dykes. All of the Korean women are sleek, toned, raven haired and gagging for it.
The men here are all super buff, deadlift 500kg, have IQ's of 300, earn 5 million a month, and can make a woman gush like a fire hydrant just by looking at them.
That is what I am led to believe by Dave's anyway. Not sure whether this is a discussion forum sometimes or Second Life.
Anyway to answer the original question. I like Korean women a lot. But with a lot of them there seems to be issues there. I would prefer a westernized woman because she would be a lot more independent and not bound by societal pressure. I would rather have a woman dump me because she doesn't like me not because she was afraid of the stigma attached to dating a foreigner. I think being dumped like that would hit a lot harder. |

That's an important point. When around 30% of the available women (or men) are overweight or obese, that severely limits the dating options.
In a normal country like Korea, that means one is roughly 30% less likely to be spanking it at home. |

When you mean westernized woman, do you mean gyopos or westernized native Korean women? Most westernized native Korean women seem to be of the younger generation. BTW, I never expected this thread to turn into a western man / western woman bashing thread. Let's try not to generalize and be so quick to put labels. |

I would like a Gyopo. Maybe because we would have similar experiences of feeling like a stranger in a strange land. I don't know really. If she was American then I would marry her just so I could get a green card
If westernized means having a western mindset rather than being obsessed with western culture then I would rather have a native Korean .
Don't get me wrong, I love the West but I came to the East to sample something different. I think when Korean women let their hair down they are great fun to be with. They have a lot of traits that are admirable, but when it comes to relationships they can be a bit childish. I just feel some of them are too bound by old ideas about a womans place in society and use it as an excuse to be timid and not take risks. The lifestyle many aspire to is the one I came to escape.
It's a tricky question.
Just to add. I have seen some pretty hot western girls whilst I have been out here, and some butt ugly Koreans. You don't get blonde Koreans. Or Redheads. |

Don't forget we are posting on Daves Esl Cafe- a place were emotions and opinion rule the day not fact and logic. Sometimes the obvious needs to be stated. There are still thin people in the US and by looking at your chart many more thinner Canadians and Australians.

The point I was trying to make is that BMI is a very crude diagnostic tool. It doesn't take into account muscle mass. A trained athlete will fall into the higher unhealthy BMI range becasue muscle mass weighs more then fat. A thin person who keeps thin by smoking but not by exercising has less muscle mass then healthy. Those people would fall into a healthy BMI even though their lifestyle is unhealthy and they are skinny-fat.
Perhaps BMI cannot be trusted to give us a clear picture of obesity in the US and other countries. |
