Don't keep waiting for life to hand you a dare to be great situation, go find one.

Wait, I still tell myself that everyday.

And I don't take the advice.

To paraphrase flakfizer...

At least those women don't have any regrets.

I'd tell myself to go ahead and change jobs. I was reticent at the time to leave a job I enjoyed, but where I was over-worked and under-paid. I'd also tell myself to travel as much as possible before parenthood.

Only teach abroad for one year and then go back home and get a job that you actually like.

Hey, I know things are looking bad right now, but be patient. You're going to buy a house, and it's going to double in value in 2 years. Stick to your plan to rent out the rooms to pay the mortgage and sell in early 06.
You could do all this without me.
HOWEVER...
Don't take the money you get from the sale and try to parlay that into something more. You're too damn lazy to do the proper reasearch for starting up anything in real estate. Trust me, you'll make mistakes and those three duplexes you would buy in Indy would just eat part of your soul and the majority of your bank account.
So...
Take the money, go back and get a degree, and... No really. Go back, get a degree... Stop shaking your head jackass. Do I look familiar? Yes? Do I look older? Then maybe I know better.
Anyway get your degree... It doesn't matter what in, stop interrupting. Then live off that while you're in college and put away the rest. ...Oh hell buy a nice car if you want to.
"Why go back to college?" Because you're going to get tired of doing what you're doing now. It may not seem like it but you will... About the time you start thinking about cashing out on that house.
You see, there's a racket called ESL out there that allows you to actually live decently while travelling all over the world, and anybody with a degree can do it. You've just gotta' teach English to the locals.
See there? You're grinning already. And you thought you'd never have any reason to go back to school.
Remember what I said though. NO Duplexes in Indianapolis, or anywhere else for that matter.
Oh, and be nice to Krystal. She may be shallow and stubborn, but she really is a sweet girl. I'm not saying to stay with her for too long, just... You know, be nice.

I went to check this quote
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." Serenity Prayer

and then tarried awhile, and also found these
"The sublimity of wisdom is to do those things living that are desired when dying." Author Unknown

and
"One's first step in wisdom is to question everything - and one's last is to come to terms with everything." George Christoph Lichtenberg

Such wisdom 5 years ago would've helped...

Haha, Win.

I would tell myself to just drop out and get a job. 4 years of college and I'm less employable than a high school graduate? Screw Michigan... also the US job market in general.

Nobody has lain on their deathbed and said 'God I wish I'd slept with less women'. (Unless they're dying of an STD of course).
Come to think of it, I took that advice.
How about; 'It's always better to regret something you have done than to regret something you haven't done'. Words to live your life by. (Unless you're dying of an STD).

Stop smoking so much weed, learn another language and to paraphrase Alan Arkin in 'Little Miss Sunshine': "*beep* a lot of women".
