How much should be taken out of each check for medical insurance? I've seen both 1.7% and 2.24% listed on posts here?
Also, I read that at the end of the year, there is an adjustment that normally ends up costing the employee. Can anyone corroborate this?
Thanks SOOOOO much! |

The CURRENT rate for medical insurance is 5.08% of your salary with the costs being split 50/50 between you and your employer (making the premium 2.54% each).
The different numbers you see represent the changes in the cost (rising premiums) over the last 8 years or so.
Once your BASE premium is established your premium remains the same for the year. In April the adjustment represents the unpaid premiums from the addition of OR changes to your salary over the year.
