these are the sports for me.

does anyone in Korea play the tennis game? are tennis courts to be found anywhere at all? I sure hope so.

also, I have heard that there are a couple of pro basketball teams out of Seoul and people there can get down with the global game. Will there be opportunities for me to dominate some Koreans in basketball? I think my post-up game will thrive playing against tiny humans. Are there courts/gyms that are accessible?

...im plotting my move and any information is appreciated.

in theory, I play tennis. That means I have I haven't played in the year and a half I've been here but I'd like to start playing regularly. I live in Itaewon. PM me if you're interested.

Hiya,
I like to play tennis when the opportunity strikes. It's not so easy in Korea though because free, open tennis courts can't be found on just any corner.

Rather, tennis courts usually required a reservation and a fee of some sort (depending on when you go ...). The benefit though is that such courts are usually well-maintained.

I know of a few courts in Bundang because that's where I live ...

Sunae-dong
-there is a couple of courts (viewable from the tancheon stream)

Guryong
-6-7 courts at a high school in the area

Coex Mall
-courts nearby the mall, but reservations are required

I haven't made any such reservations myself, as I've usually just gone via my company tennis group.

Best of luck with finding some courts. I'll post more information if I find it.

I've got a racquet and am interested in finding tennis partners in Seoul. I've been playing most of my life, but am new to Korea and haven't played here. I'm near Gangnam, on line 2, but am willing to travel a bit.
If anybody is interested, or knows of any good clubs, please PM me.

Yes! Just what I'm looking for.

I decided to leave my stick home, but my mom snuck it in. Maybe we can start a little Dave's tennis club. I've stopped watching Federer highlights on YouTube because I get this crazy itch to play I can't satisfy.

I live in the Bundang area.
