One of my students gave me two hamsters the other day. I don't want um, so if anyone wants some free hamsters let me know.

Do you know if they are male or female? And how do they act with each other? Do they fight, or are they pretty docile?
I have a hamster, and have been thinking of getting another one to keep it company, but I would be afraid that they would start to fight (as rodents do).
I'd be interested in taking them off your hands, if you could answer my questions.

Thanks!

Hamsters can live well in groups if introduced at a young age, I wouldn't add new hamsters to the one you already have.

I had three hamsters. They started to fight. Then a friend gave me two more hamsters. The original three laid down their differences in order to wage war on the new ones. When the cages were separated, they went back to fighting.

Moral of the story: hamsters fight.

Why would you buy a pet that you don't plan to care for for life??? I'm sick and tired of people coming to Korea for one year on their illegal degrees just to use drugs and buy pets that they won't even have for more than a year. Those pets miss you! You may not realize it, but they have emotions and feelings to.

Do me a favor. If you don't plan on sticking with your pet FOR LIFE, don't even get one. You don't know what it's like to have your heart broken.

Holy crap....are you serious?!? Laughing Laughing
That is really really funny.

And by the way, he didn't buy them....a student gave them to his as a present (which I think is pretty messed up).

That is not an excuse. He made 2 major mistakes. First, he accepted the hamsters. It doesn't matter if he bought them, stole them or accepted them as a gift. He could've even found them a home with a person who cared for and loved them, a person responsible enough to care about them FOR LIFE. Second, he needs to be teaching his students some morals. Ethics transcend cultures and there is no reason any student of his should feel it's okay to give away hamsters. Those hamsters miss that student and now they are going to be heart broken again.

Shame on you, davolala, shame on your and your absence of morality.

Hey...I just saw a show on TV about "Emos." I would really be interested in meeting one of these freaks. Are you an "Emo" by chance?

Hamsters have EMOtions. It's not funny to joke around about this, Join Me. Have you ever lost a family member? Well these hamsters have and davolala doesn't care.

How does one measure the emotional state of hamsters?

And, am I the only one to think of Richard Gere?

I know, I know:

But the connection is still there in my mind. Embarassed

Perhaps you can return them to the student and claim you're allergic.. .otherwise if you can't find somebody, try posting an ad for them on www.animalrescuekorea.org -it's in English.

How long do hamsters live for anyway? What do you do with their dead bodies after they go to hamster heaven?
