"Does Dunkin Donuts really think its customers could mistake Rachael Ray for a terrorist sympathizer? The Canton-based company has abruptly canceled an ad in which the domestic diva wears a scarf that looks like a keffiyeh, a traditional headdress worn by Arab men.
Some observers, including ultra-conservative Fox News commentator Michelle Malkin, were so incensed by the ad that there was even talk of a Dunkin Donuts boycott." http://www.boston.com/ae/celebrity/articles/2008/05/27/dunkin_donuts_yanks_rachael_ray_ad/ |

This could well go down in history as the sign that Western Civilization has finally collapsed because of the weight of its own stupidity.
I hope tomorrow everyone goes out and buys one of those scarf things...and then sits back and watches Fox's collective head explode.
PS: Who the heck is Rachel Ray? |

| Michelle Malkin is a schizophrenic idiot if she thinks the Arab scarf has paisleys on it like Rachel Ray's. |

| I've been saying Rachel Ray is a terrorist for years. Her bland, uninteresting spunkiness has waged war on good taste for long enough. |

| Dunkin' Donut dropped the ball. They should have immediately counter-attacked with a threatened law suit--restraint of trade, hate speech--whatever their lawyers could concoct in 30 minutes. Yes, it would give her the attention she craves, but it would also put her on notice. I think it's a mistake to give in to idiocy of this type. It just encourages the idiots to continue. |

Hey, they didn't mention that she is standing in front of cherry blossoms. The Japanese word for cherry blossom is "ohka," which was also the name of a flying bomb used by kamikazi pilots. Thus, cherry blossom=suicide bomber. And look at the slogan, "America runs on dunkin." America runs.... yeah, that's just what they want. And that dark skin, dark hair, and is that a minaret behind her?
Rachel Ray? Any relation to the patsy who shot MLK, James Earl Ray? Also, who hangs out at donut shops? You have a dark skinned woman in Arab dress who shares a name with an assassin and suicide bombing symbolism standing in front of a minaret with the slogan "America runs" and "Find a store" where the police may be gathered? I'm glad the far right has put aside important issues like defending the confederate flag to root out these purveyers of symbols of hate. Let's see what she can cook up during 10 years at Guantanamo.
Oh, and why paisleys? Why not American flags? |

Of all the wack jobs to cave to, they HAD to cave to Malkin.
She's really off her rocker. And now with this incident it won't surprise me if she tries to go after NBC or GMAC.
But don't hate on Malkin. She just needs some good dick in life and that'll settle her down. |

| Michelle Malkin is doing this, because she is anti-Arab. She sides with the right wing in Israel, she is in a camp opposite of most Jews in America and is out of the mainstream, and Dunkin Donuts shouldn't listen to such bigotry. Malkin's comments are like saying every Jew who eats bagels is this or that. Palestinian farmers wear Keffiyahs and so do many people in Europe. People like her and Daniel Pipes want to whip up hysteria against Arabs just like those in Korea who don't like America are whipping up hysteria over beef. These guys have an agenda. |

Michelle's been at this for a while. She clearly saw the bias against Denmark in this...
http://michellemalkin.com/2006/03/21/the-united-nations-smears-lego/
Can't spot it, huh? "Tsk tsk", Michelle would say shaking her head. "How naive can you be"?
She leaves the explanation to a like minded soul who 'gets it'.

Given that Denmark published the cartoons that riled up so many Muslims, one would think that the powersthatbe at the UN might be sensitive to sending the wrong message. Or is this attack (discovered by the eagleeyed Michelle Malkin) on LEGO a Danish company just one more sign that the UN has completely capitulated to Islam?
Certainly it could be taken as a way to depict Danes as racists. After all, you have a nondescript jigsaw puzzle and incongruously, and intrusively, a LEGO piece that has no reason to be in the photoexcept for a cheap propaganda shot.
