I wouldn't say that I was a HUGE fan of his, but I was a pretty big fan of Carol Burnett, and he was an indispensable part of the show. I remember him mostly as the straight man against Tom Conway.
One that really cracked me up as a kid was when Korman was this uptight businessman trying to place an order with a dull-witted hot dog salesman, played by Conway.
KORMAN: Can't you remember a simple order?
CONWAY: What order?
That one really depends on Conway's delivery. Another one I recall was about the Treaty Of Portsmouth, with Korman as the uptight Russian ambassador("uptight" described a lot of his characters, actually) and Conway(I think) as the Japanese ambassdor, who is a total buck-toothed whackjob, bouncing around the room and "ahh-soh"-ing in awe when he apparently sees a pen for the first time. Definitely not something you'd see on TV today, and maybe that's a positive development.

Korman was superb and with Conway they were dynamite. Too bad we can't enjoy similar comedy variety shows today. Where has all the talent gone?
I doubt Carol Burnett could land a gig in La-La Land these days without having grunge and raw sex thrown into the mix.
Korman was part of a dying breed of classy comedians who cut their teeth in the tradition of vaudeville. Conway was another, as was Burnett herself, as was Bob Newhart.
I miss all of it. Now too many viewers are so jaded they can't handle cornball humor and guffaws. Cynicism has deprived us of real humor.
RIP Harvey. Laugh it up with the gang in Heaven and spread a little sunshine our way when you get your wings, bruddah. |

| He wore a blazing saddle. Best Mel Brooks movie ever. If you haven't seen "Blazing Saddles" you haven't seen a movie. R.I.P. Heady. That's Hedley! Whatever. I have to attend to the state of affairs or is that the affairs of the state? Are you coming Governor? Mongo straight. zzziippp It's twoo, it's twoo! Do yourself a favor. Watch it for Harvey. He nailed that role to the wall. |

| Very funny and underappreciated guy, a bit like Eunice's husband Ed! One of the many roles he perfected. Then again, he was excellent in every role. |
