You're mistaken. He was asking if it's okay to bring and eat a Subway sandwich on the bus ride to Seoul.
Routinely, buses taking long trips such as this will make 20 minute pit stops along the way so people can relieve themselves and/or have a meal.
However, if a person takes a Subway sandwich, this can save the cost of that enroute meal.
My advice to the OP is to skip the subway sandwich and buy something along the way. You won't be saving much money, if any at all, and the sandwich bread will get soggy with time. |

That's the English page for the train. Go to the schedule section...input your information...you'll get times and fares.
Remember that some trips require transfers...Busan to Seoul typically does not...but for trips you might take in the future...don't forget to hit the transfer button or you won't get the results you're looking for. |

Pretty much. Typical of Dave's though.
KTX is the most expensive option but you can take an express from the express bus terminal in Seoul, which is much cheaper. You can also take regular trains but I think your best option is either the KTX or an express bus. |

I'd take the KTX. Bad traffic can slow a bus ride. |

There are three options for trains up to Seoul: KTX, Saemaul, or Mugunghwa.
The KTX is the fastest, but I find it very uncomfortable. Something about the angle of the seats and the fact that they don't recline (at least they haven't on any KTX trains I've been on). I prefer the Saemaul, a little bit slower but much more spacious and comfortable. I've never ridden the Mugunghwa, which is the slowest. With the decrease in speed comes a decrease in price as well.
The website that DongtanTony provided is good for checking schedules, but you'll have to go to the train office to get your actual ticket. I used to be able to buy Korail tickets in the normal subway station, but I'm not sure if that's available everywhere. |

If time is/ was a factor, I would say KTX.....I once got a package deal in which I got round-trip KTX tickets as well as round-trip ferry tickets for 180,000 won from a travel agency near Sinsa Subway station (they also offer travel from Inchon to Tianjin, China)
If money is more of a factor, I would say bus, it takes about 13-15 hours to go from Express Terminal in Seoul to Busan Express Terminal.....the price of a ticket is similar to a Saemaul train ticket though... |
