There is some mention that the original stonehendge people used to dance around the monoliths. Early settlers in America saw indians dancing around tall poles and made some sort of a connection.
The original spiritual center for The U.K. way back in time was supposed to be on the coast of Wales, but was moved down to Salisbury plains. |

I saw the article as well, on either cnn.com or msn.ca (those are two sites I look at quite often).
It said something to the effect that if you dig through the layers around the site, you can see that it was used for ceremonial burial ceremonies for centuries. They didn't offer too much proof in the article, so I imagine it is either being looked at more closely now, or people are still looking for more concrete proof.
And is it spelled stonehendge? I always thought it was Stonehenge. |
Put the picture of Stonehedge or whatever the hell it is on Hawt or Not. Then everyone will see how average it looks. |

Some people in Wales at some point decided for their Millennium project they would drag a Stonehenge like rock from where they were quarried to the Stonehenge area. I guess showing you didn't need UFOs, just some Welsh gumption and elbow grease. They got about half way and people gave up. I think the rock ended up in the bottom of a lake. |
