When I look toward the horizon in Busan I see the air is light grey usually. Also what seems to be morning mist or fog I suspect is a giant cloud of exhaust.
However, in Seoul if you look to the horizon it is light to dark brown.
What about L.A.? How about New York? Anyone have a direct opinion on air quality and not quotes from studies on worldwide air pollution? |

I think L.A. is usually brown when there are no Santa Ana winds. I personally think L.A. pollution is worse than New York because more people drive. |

I also thought LA was worse because winds go eastward, and so NY's bad air goes to the ocean, while with LA, the mountains keep it on the west coast. |

L.A. pollution is world famous (or to me it seems). The horizon's are particularly famously beautiful and the brilliance of different colors are often a direct result of the pollution.
NYC on the other hand.. I lived in that city for a couple years.. and in Manhattan I never noticed any kind of haze or anything else. I'm sure its there as its a major world city. But it seemed pretty unnoticeable to my physical sensations anyhow.. |
