Did you hear that Korea is one of the first countries in the world for the public release of the Lord Of the Rings, Return of the King? Is it true? Its because of the time zones! I heard this and tried to get tickets but they were totally sold out I would have loved to gloat that I saw it first to all my friends back home.... Oh well we got the first tickets we could and they are for Sunday... Looking forward to it I am sure it will be awesome!
Legolas, could he BE any cuter?

If it is anything like the other two, a DVD quality version will hit the net...I will get it, watch it, wait till the mad rush is over at the theatre, THEN go see it without having a packed theatre.
If it isn't like the past two years, hmm maybe I have to wait until my vacation starts and go see it at 9 or 10am. |

I'm going next Wed. too! A whole group of expats got together and bought tickets early...hope they show the "Coax" commercial before the movie. Anyone else get the biggest kick out of that?
***music plays/slides of young people in fasionable clothing
***music stops: "candid" video of girl saying, "I love cox"
***more music and snapshots
***music stops: college age guy says, "And, uh, I love cox"
***grand finale: big group of young people saying, "we love cox"
you can always tell when there are other wae-gooks in the theatre, cause everyone is always snickering...or yelling along with the commercial. Only in Korea.

I just did a visa run to manila and saw Return of the King there on Thursday Night. It was awesome!!!!!! The official release there is actually in January but they had advance screenings for fundraising purposes. |

I'm just happy I have tickets on the evening of the 16th. I can wait that long so I don't have to see a crappy version via internet download.

They're selling out showtimes already? I would have expected this back home, but I didn't think Koreans cared that much. Interesting. If you're really intent on seeing it Wednesday, you could probably catch it at a cinema in a smaller town. I haven't heard much of a buzz about the movie out here in the sticks. |
