Damn if that isn't one cool looking umbrella. You should get yourself a cart and start selling those things in Insadong. |

Hangeul script just looks cool, I wonder if young koreans are going to come to a point where they realise it too and start making clothing with it on?
Much better than all the crap with english slogans saying "My lovely dream of clouds". |

You wrote all that in Korean? Impressive.
Yes, I want some T-shirts with hangeul on it, and not just World Cup shirts. |

I was amazed when I first asked my korean friend where I could get shirts with hangeul on:
"Maybe you could try near the US army base?"

I did take the test! And I passed...
Before I made the umbrella I checked with a number of places about whether I could make an image, scan it on to an umbrella and make my own. I found a shop specializing in making them, but they can't scan anything that complex and since they are usually made with eight separate pieces of fabric it would have been a nearly impossible task. So I calculated how much space I would have to write with the line thickness I decided on, and it seemed that it would fit, but I didn't really know until I wrote the whole thing down.
As for the story itself, I have another 100 pages or so of it and it's not done yet. I plan to turn it into a book much later on, when I feel like editing and revising the whole thing. |
