Obama closes in on Democratic nomination
http://edition.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/06/03/election.democrats/index.html
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Sen. Barack Obama inched closer to the Democratic nomination Tuesday as endorsements from superdelegates trickled in.
Thirty one delegates are at stake in the final contests under way in South Dakota and Montana. Obama is now 10 delegates short of the 2,118 needed to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination, according to CNN's count.
Obama would become the first African-American to lead a U.S. major-party ticket.
His remaining rival, Sen. Hillary Clinton, does not plan to concede the race Tuesday night, campaign chairman Terry McAuliffe told CNN -- but one of her leading supporters said "a moment of truth" was at hand........... |

He can use the slogan "Obamarama yo mama" ...
The Clintons may try to pressure him into putting Hillary on the ticket, but after the allusion to Bobby Kennedy's assassination, Obama (and/or his wife) might not trust such a ruthless opportunist in the VP spot. |

Someone'll probably try to assassinate him either way... not that he has a chance in hell of even winning the white house. McCain will be the next president, no doubt. |

I'd vote for McCain if he wasn't so stuck on Iraq. As it is I'm not keen on either of these two. |

Obama is the lesser of two evils.
McCain is too old.....his thinking is old fashion...not with the times......and not with the way the majority of Americans what the country to go. McCain mirrors' Bush.
It does not matter who gets elected....all through history...none has done anything. They usually just follow congress and put their stamp of approval on whatever congress wants.
The country needs a black man leading it......white man has not be doing a good job!
And I really think...Obama will do some good if elected. |

I think I may vote for McCain (though Khenan may be a viable write in) depending on how he plans to handle the border situation and if he can convince me he is serious. I know he changed his "view" on the border issue after hearing from the American people and I appreciate that. I do not think it matters though. Both are pretty much cut from the same cloth and I figure the government is going to take more of my money to give to those "less fortunate" in their opinion. At least by voting I will have earned the right to give my viewpoint. America is going to hell in a handbasket and I think it will take a huge wake up call to get us back on track. |

Pretty obvious that Obama will win. Make fun of his name and all, doesn't matter
America has changed in the past 15 -20 years. People like Bush and McCain are dinosuars and they even look it. Demographs has changed for the younger and more cultural. Obama is catering to the right people, McCain, to the geriatrics. Does he have a chance, even after a few Bushes' in the white house?
If Obama doesn't win, I'll give all of you a MCCain frozen dinner

You heard it here first folks. Hillary will break from the Democratic party and run as an independent.
She is too determined to lose this closely. |
