I live in Ilsan. Hwajeong Dong.
Actually I found Ilsan to be flooded with foreigners. I am surprised if you don't know any. |

Hi sunlit,
Just moved into Ilsan myself, near the end of line # 3. Saw a few foreigners but haven't met anybody yet. Also I'm the only foreigner at my new job. If you like send me a PM message. Always looking to meet new (hopefully cool) people. I think there are a good few foreigners around actually, especially near Hwajung station (as Ilsanman says). There are lots of hagwons in my area too, even 4 in the building I work in! |

I'm a little late getting to this, but I'll reply anyways because I've often wondered this very same question.
I also lived in Tanhyun for 13 months...there's a large pocket of good guys that hang out at the Miller time most nights if you're looking for someone to talk to(over the tracks directly behind the walmart behind the Lotteria). These days I live near Juyeop subway station and it'd be nice to find a fun place to hang out at.
So I've been in Ilsan for almost 2 years now and I've seen a lot of people come and go, but there are a ton of English hagwons in this area so there must be people replacing them. The Underground used to be fun to hang out at, but no one seems to go there anymore. So the question becomese...where are people going?
Anyone else from Ilsan know of any fun places? |
