Hi!
Thx in advance for your help.
Whenever I put my internet, a USB message comes up telling me I have a hard drive in the bay, but the disk won't load until I format my RAM. So, I go ahead, but after the reboot, I can't access my soundcard or replace any of the missing files from my flash drive. That, and the keys are all stuck on the port, making it hard to power down the LAN or bake anything at all.
I think my mainboard needs formatting. A friend of mine, who is a computer whiz, told me to empty my tubes before re-connecting my flash drive to the raw socket, but the CPU FSB cache gives me an BSOD after I try to paste my heatsink to the northbridge, making it impossible to listen to MP3s, watch movies, etc. Finally, last night, I think my DDR2 SATA chip died.
I'm pretty sure my system is totally hosed, but I really need some second opinions. I think I have the following 2 options:
1. Dual boot with Ubuntu, openSESAME and XP.
2. Format the RAM and install some new thermal paste on the CD-ROM.
3. Buy a new monitor that supports Vista.
What do you think?
Thx again. I will buy you a beer! |

I was wondering what was up that YOU would need computer help from the other "gurus" before I read your post. Then I was concerned by the first few lines.
THEN I realised it was all a joke. Good one.

You need to re-install the internet and get a new mousepad. If that doesn't work then try under-volting your keyboard.
Be careful in the future to never type the word 'google' into Google. You might break the internet. |

It's no joke!
This morning, my optical mouse was overheating! Maybe the heatpaste is too thick? This is nuts!

I use the blue internet. I heard the red one had problems with the TCP/IP crossing to the netbios and connecting to the serial port visa the parallel port cable instead of the coaxial line.
I think that if you use the blue internet and use 10baseT cable that you can get speeds in excess of 300 baud. Make sure you have port 8080 open for access.
In reference to your other problem, make sure that when you format the RAM that you also check the AGP chipset on the mainboard. This is especially true if you are using the ePCI or EIDE socket.
Also: the ribbon cable from the EIDE socket may not connect properly to your GPU if the red line on the cable is on the left side.

Wow! Good call! I was using the red internet for a while, before going to the big one...I will try the blue one tonight. Port 8080 is spread over my CD media dual-cooler at the moment..I'll fix that ASAP.
I replaced the AGP with a new one, but I can't get my fingers between the listening ports to attach the Wifi cable.
Quite right that the EIDE socket (not to be pedantic, but its actually called a "port") is a snug fit on the GPU!
Keep the ideas coming please! I think I am close to solving this!
Thx a million. You guys are sure helpful around here! |

Actually, that was the first thing I did when all of this came up. I guess great minds think alike, huh? |

I think you your problem is that you haven't set up a septuple boot using your parallel port to crossfire the northbridge connectors to cyberspace.
When you septuple boot it has to be in order of shittiest o/s to best, for example:
Mac o/s x
Mac o/s leopard
ubuntu (any flavor)
mac o/s tiger (roar)
linux (any remaining flavor)
XP
Vista |
