Does anyone have Sugar Gliders in Korea? I'm thinking about bringing mine with me, but I'm not sure if they're even allowed. I've been checking U.S. govt websites, but they aren't any help.

You mean a real sugar glider?! Shocked

I was guessing it must be slang for a hang glider or something.

I can't imagine you'd even be able to get it out of Aus (presumably that's where you are?). I'll go out on a limb here & guess that there aren't too many of them in Korea. Could be wrong. Good luck with it all.

I'm bumping this up because I leave in about 3 weeks. I have all the paperwork needed for most pets, but I'm still not certain that Korea will allow flying marsupials.

I also need a vet in Korea that can chop the males nuts off when I get there. I don't want to do it before the flight for fear that it will stress him out.

i dont know the O.P. but definitely not from aus seeing as it is illegal to keep them as pets, from what i understand there are a fair few in the U.S. due to illegal trading of australian wildlife there, although I could be wrong, on occasion some have been legally exported.

mine came from a captive breeding program. there are tons of legal ones all over the U.S. and Europe, customs is so tight and the penalties are so steep that its far easier to breed them. i know that mine are over 25th generation captive bread. so I guess the that if you go back long enough there may be a shady past but they have a solid paperwork trail. right now there are so many breeders that I can't imagine why you would bother to illegally import them.
