I may be going to Siem Reap in the Summer. Yes, I know its hot and wet. I am wondering if anyone who has been there before could recomend a good hotel, B/B etc that was in the $10-15 range that was good to stay in.

Well 3 recomendations may be better as it would allow me to compare them. The price is the main category at the moment and a place that is comfortable to sit around in after a long day.

I have googled a few places but just want to know if anyone here has any recomendations.

Thanks for any advice you can give.

mandalay inn was decent, although the prices all seem to be $5-10 higher on the website. just remember you have options. the tuk-tuk drivers will be waiting at the bus stop, etc., to shuttle you around to find accomodations if you haven't pre-booked. they'll be willing to go for awhile as long as you're willing to return the favor and use them when you're heading out to the ruins.

some may disagree, but i believe that you can't go wrong with staying within a 10-15 minute walk of the action downtown. angkor what? and countless other places are a great night out. i'm also on board with the happy pizza. had some for breakfast following a rough night out when we arrived, and i was definitely "happy" all morning. my fiance had a brutal hangover and didn't indulge in the pizza. needless to say, she wasn't as happy.

BeQuest Guest House. Stayed there in Feb. Next door to Popular Guesthouse. Both good. Close to everything. Cheap (from 10$->20$/night, with fan or air con). Good restaurants too. Friendly. Goodluck.

Yeah, basically you don't need to book. Just catch a tuktuk into town (very small) and find something you like....thats what i did (figured 'popular guesthouse' would be popular, turns out it was (was fully booked) so I just went next door, no worries.

I have narrowed my choice down to these three places.

Has anyone any info about them?

Baca Villa
Chenla Guesthouse
Bou Savy Guesthouse

I am leaning towards the last, but would like to know if anyone can tell me about them all.

I arrive at 1.30 am so don't want to be looking around at that time in the morning
