Go to Yonsei University Severance Hospital. Go to the international clinic. Have them perform a biopsy. They treated a skin condition I have and they know what they are talking about, more than I can say for a lot of doctors who work in Skin Clinics in Korea. *beep* 90% of Korean doctors here. Go to Yonsei.

I'm guessing the OP had a growth. I was going to get a lumpy blotch on my chest looked at in canada this summer, but found out this week that I wouldn't get results for months or something....

I don't want to do it in Korea because I'm worried that if it turns out to be skin cancer, I will either lose my job, or not get renewed. I know there is very little medical privacy in Korea.

Is this worry unfounded?

Not unfounded ... But quite easy to work around ... Just go to a doctor yourself ... without telling your school ... Preferably not someone they recommend ... Because english could potentially be an issue I would go to one of the International Clinics OR to someone they suggest. They will help you to find someone. I had a minor medical issue last year and was able to find the appropriate person and get what I needed without the school knowing in anyway.
