My recruiter said SMOE issues the Letter of Notification needed to obtain a visa after July 15. I am leaving the country August 1st; will I get this document in time, or do they usually send them out closer to orientation? I don't live too far from a consulate, so as soon as I get the letter I can get to one and get my visa. I already notified my recruiter of my departure, but he is taking a long time to get back to me on this question. |

You need to contact SMOE directly. If you have already signed a SMOE contract, it's time to stop communicating with the recruiter unless you absolutely need to.
Mail from Korea to the USA takes about 7-10 calendar days. My things usually arrive in one week. |

But do they usually send them out on the day, or do they wait a few weeks before orientation? |
