Hi,
I'm just doing some brainstorming and was wondering if anyone could help. I'm teaching two half hour classes to my low level nursery classes tomorrow. I am wanting to teach "the 5 senses" but am having trouble thinking of a game that would incorporate this theme and not require much by way of addional resources. Any help would be mondo appreciated as I'm stuck! Thanks for your help!

A game? Well you could have them LISTEN to something, and guess what it is...if they guess right they get a point.
Then have them blindfolded and they have to feel something, guess right and they get a point.
Bring something that smells, have them smell it and if they guess right, they get a point.
Then show them some pictures, they have to guess what you are showing, they get it right, POINT.

Lastly bring something in for them to taste...i'd bring candy and that would be their "prize" for playing the game.

If i were to make up a game I would do something like this...could take 30mins depending on how many people and how many things i let them listen/see/hear/smell

great suggestion.
however if you really have no time to get realia to bring in, just draw different things on the board, and be very demonstrative in drilling sentences to them, they pretty soon get the idea. get them to follow your actions as well. eg draw a pig on the board- "A pig smells bad!" etc.

Good advice. Talk loudly with your hands and they will listen, and even understand.
