I worked at KC for 6 months. Worst 6 months of my life.

With that said, they do a good job bringing in money and keeping students. Students stay because they pressure teachers to write good evals all the time, I did evals. every 2-3 weeks, you can only say good things about the students in the evaluations, etc. etc. etc. Nothing is done about discipline.

Too many students at the one I worked at. Way too many for the building to accommodate them.. If there are no other Hagwons in your area, you might want to have a second job lined up because parents of kids at your school will most likely be interested in their program and pull your students away from you school.

aye there are shitloads of them round here, though i seem to be the only white guy working in this area, if kids club hav 2-3 white people acting as the mascot for the new place, i can see parents from my place pulling kids out, especially if they are only here because im a native speaker. not my problem though

If you already work at Kid's Club you know what Kid's College is all about. Reason to fear them? Only if you plan on working there.

There are roughly 25 or so of them in Korea. They cater towards the families that have money to spend on their kids. The main focus for KC is kindy.

The only good thing about working at Kids College was when Christmas rolled around. Loads of presents. One kid gave me a 300,000 gift certificate to Hyundai Bequajum. I fn deserved that. I don't even want to get into disciplinary scenarios with that nightmare of a school.

Recently though, after talking to a few teachers who are still there, they have started intercepting gifts between the students and the teachers. As in, if a student like the kid above, were to give you a 300,000 gift certificate to somewhere, you can rest assured that your supervisor, who spends all day online doing internet shopping, is going to pocket that and ask the child not to bring gifts again. Happened many times at the school after I left. If students bring you food, the Korean Staff takes it and shares it among themselves before giving it to the English teachers.

Sometimes, getting knocks on the door on Saturday Morning early, requesting you to come into work or to go on some stupid field trip that you can not say no to.

*beep* Kid's College. A joke.
