any of you Daejeonites know of any good hotels (ie 30~50 won range) near the KTX station and near the bars to stay in.. I found a couple tourist motels but not exactly sure of the quality.. |

You actually need to head over toward the Express Bus terminal. Not many "reputable" places near the train station.
Tons of places W30-60,000 near the Express Bus Terminal. |

I stayed at Hotel Chateau Grace Hotel for a couple of nights. It is right next to Express Bus Terminal. It was 70,000 won a night for a real hotel room. |

The list is above is good but all those hotels are very pricey and not, in my opinion, worth staying at. Also, most are in the Yousong area which is nice but pretty far off the beaten track.
Express Bus terminal is about a 5-8 minute taxi ride. You could also easily take a bus.
Generally, most areas around a Bus/Train station are not the best in the world but I've found the motels around the bus terminal to be quite good. My Mother, Sister and Nephew were quite happy with their accomodations when visiting earlier. |

Ok thanks for the heads up..i'm just need a hotel that can accommodate 17 people for a night.. and i'd like to book ahead.. we're coming to town to play a hockey game so we'll have our gear.. hence why i was looking at Tourist motels....I read a review that the front desk doesn't speak English at the Daelim hotel despite it being a tourist motel haha..i know most love motels are perfectly fine, just getting one that's that empty or who is willing to rent out 17 rooms might be a bit of a prob.. |
