The OP/CBC article was definitely an interesting read. Canadians often stumble when asked to name a Canadian hero, after naming Terry Fox or Laura Secord (if you consider her "Canadian"). This article reminds us that Canadians do have a rich heritage that is often mocked for not having one.

For those that wish to showcase the ever-present and petty hatred on Dave's, have a go. You're (if the shoe fits) unfortunately only showcasing your own immaturity. Boo-ers to you.

I'm surprised 'a drive to get illegal cigarettes on the Reserve' didn't get a mention! Very Happy

Say what thou wilt, Yankee dog. Canadians may be boring blanc mange, poutine eating, back pack wearing wannabes, but we are almost, without exception, universally liked and respected by foreign governments AND citizens. We don't achieve friendships through threats and intimidation. And, we don't send "heroes" to distant lands to murder innocent women and children in cold blood based on absolute lies.

Let's be honest. Canada is an impotent country. You guys free load off American might just like everyone else.

Typical for a Canadian to assume that all statements about Canada are inherently a comparison with the United States.

You're a tool of decades of government propaganda designed to focus you away from a critical analysis of your own country by directing your attention south. How's that feel?

I've never ever seen Americans and Canadians spit bile at each other so fiercely in America. Why does it happen every. five. minutes. in Korea?

Likely because of the type of Canadians that end up in Korea. They are just out of a wildly American-centric and anti-American liberal arts undergrad that left them bitter, myopic, hyper nationalistic and permanently underemployed.

FTFY. I know plenty of Canadians and Americans in Korea that get along just fine. The anonymity of the Internet brings out the asshole in us all.[/i]

Jeebus. There was absolutely nothing anti-American about this thread until you and one or two other idiots showed up. So, who's got issues?

It's all so fucking retarded. Every American I know in Korea has about 5 Canadian friends, and every Canadian I know has about 5 American friends, but then there are tards like you online who think there's some sort of nasty relationship between the two groups. We're the same fucking people. You like baseball; we like hockey. You like guns; we like weed.

When I think of Canada 'eh' I think about:

Toothless hockey players with mullets.

EXACTLY!!! Likely the people on here that can't wait to get in to bash other countries are the people who can't make friends in real life though.

It's too bad that you are coming to Korea. Last thing we need is one more ignorant person coming over who gets so defensive and quickly jumps to nationalistic insults. It would be better if types like that weren't allowed to leave the country.

I didn't bring up America. I brought up the absurdity of these whites wandering around the world with a colonial flag on their backpacks while the native population festers in Haiti levels of poverty.

I think the National Film Board is a pretty cool entity that seems to consistently make quality work.
