A lot of people come on here asking for advice about classroom management so I thought I'd post a few videos of a technique I really love. Bump if you love it too.

Very interesting. I believe if I were teaching middle school or younger I would make it a point to try these techniques. I still may give a few of them a go with my HS students, particularly the "Class!" "Yes!" and "Whoo!" routines.

How well does this work with your students, and what age groups are you teaching?

The Class yes thing works really well. The teach okay thing takes longer to teach but as long as your clear that your purpose in doing this is to make sure everyone understands then they get into it. Right now I'm teaching grade 5.

I also like how they have the students repeat "Switch!" while they're doing pairwork so they know when to switch roles.

I utilize many similar "power" techniques in my classes...great for receiving attention from the entire class in an instant.
