I have two months off, but my wife has to work. Would your wife (Korean) let you hit the beach in SE Asia?

Seeing as she's Korean she'll be more understanding than a western wife I would say, just use condoms you dirty bugger.

My Khusband won't let me go to Shanghai for the weekend to visit my gfriend so if he asks to go anywhere the answer will be hells no!

And even if I were allowed to go to Shanghai he wouldn't be allowed to go to SE without me even if he were a born again christian teettotaller cause I'd be worried he'd cheat.

Great relationship there. I can see a prosperous future for you.

Like you should talk Mrs. Squirrel, you're the kind of guy who laughed and made a big deal of Kman drowning while trying to save his wife. I'm sure you're a real winner. http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=127183

at this time, I am not married, but see no reason why a wife would not alllow her husband the fun of going to SE Asia. I mean come on-it is not about love and us men are very good at compartmentalizing our lives.

I had a Korean CEO tell me that married men needed a girl on the side. That a wife and a girl on the side addresses very different needs in a man and that they were both necessary. Surely, there are some women open-minded enough to understand that about us men.

Just like if I love the country I am from; my loving or liking another country in no way diminishes my love for my own country.

Variety is the spice of life, as the old maxim says

Cool double standard. I guess it's a good thing men wear the pants in most relationships....unless they're with their girl on the side then the pants are off (or at least down)

Well I gotta agree with him there. Sounds like a rather stressful relationship.

I'm curious why he wouldn't allow you to go to Shanghai.

And, you've got some trust issues there when it comes to men. Wouldn't let a man go to southeast asia no matter what? What if the dude was an outdoors fanatic, and just wanted to go down to SEA to dive, hike, etc? Or a food and drink lover such as myself? Korea isn't exactly a culinary mecca, while there is divine stuff in that part of the world. Some of us ARE faithful you know.

^ Actually I don't think all men are cheaters. My original philosophy when getting married was that if you can't trust your partner then you shouldn't marry them at all. Plain and simple. But then I married a Kguy and he's always implying that I am going to cheat or something. Like it's the natural progression of married people. I've never cheated in my life and never given him a reason to think so.

So I am assuming it must be a Kthing to be paranoid, cause I think cheating happens more often here - both ways. So that's why I can't go to Shanghai.

And also I like giving the ESl riff raff a hard time. Laughing

I guess the question to men is would you let your wife go to Jamaica or any of the carribbean islands for two months alone.

well if the OP was asking about being gone the full two months, ha, good luck with that one dude. I thought he just meant for a little while during those two months (no more than a month). I guess I was making an assumption there.

As for your question about Jamacia and the like, well, if she had more of a reason to go there than just chill out on a beach, then perhaps. Definitely if it was related to some activity of hers or something she was passionate about (as in community service and the like). Of course I'd expect her to be the same way towards me (meaning she'd say no if i planned to be a beach bum during that time).

Vacations are fine without the spouse, but two months is a really long vacation without her/him.

I think it becomes difficult to explain that one. Calling from Thailand every few days with the 'I really miss you, hon' which is gonna be quite fake, particularly when you could fly back any moment if you really did.
