|
|
I have a job and I need to go through the Visa process. I think I can work my way through most of the things. Today I'm going to try to get the Criminal background check aspect started.
The question I have is about the "reference."
It is so general, and it is thrown in there, but I'm not sure what they want for that. Any help would be great. |

depends on where you are applying to work.
IF you are applying to a hakwon, it is meaningless.
If you are applying to a PS, then it could be just a character reference OR
if you are claiming experience (for a level up) it would have to be documentation/proof of your classroom experience.
IF you are applying to a university, it would probably be academic or professional references.

i think he's referring to the new requirement for E-2 applicants to submit a notarized "letter of reference" with their visa documents to the consulate. this doesn't seem to be something even previous holders can get out of. i am a bit unfamiliar with this addition, but will be calling the appropriate offices tomorrow to find out the specifics of the reference. OP - if you haven't heard anything new by then, i'll post their response. |
