If I'm travelling overland by bus, from Thailand via Cambodia, can I get a visa to enter Vietnam at the border? Or do I have to go to an embassy and get a visa? |

You cannot get a visa for Vietnam at any borders. You would have to apply in Cambodia. Most guesthouses will have a service where you can apply for one. They send your passport off, and in a few days and a fee (40 U.S dollars approx), you will receive it back. You will most likely get a 30 day visitor visa. Hope this helps. |

Any ideas how much it costs to get there, and prices for a top quality resort. I will be flying from Korea in Nov.
Cheers and any help will be appreciated |

you can bring your passport to the vietnamese embassy in phnom penh in the morning and pick it up with a new visa in the afternoon. no need to go through a guesthouse if you're in the city, because it's incredibly easy to handle it yourself. |

If you're in Seoul, go to the VN embassy (near Anguk station) and get a visa if you already know what dates you'll be in VN. Each time I've done it, it's only taken around three business days. |
