Anyone else ever notice the Koreans never seem to discuss the Korean war?
It's like they blocked it out of their history... Too much pain? |

My grandfather was in the navy and stationed here for a while. He also never once spoke about it, at least to me. The first I heard of him serving in the war was when I mentioned to my grandmother that I would be coming out here for the first time, three years ago. |

Thanks for the link Blue Lake. Seeing those scenes in colour it's easy to feel "hey, I was there just yesterday" |

They were shot in Kodachrome slide film. Kodachrome color doesn't shift over time, and the images are very sharp.
Too bad the caption to No. 10 is complete nonsense. If I shared it with some Koreans, I'm afraid they might actually believe that only 150,000 foreign servicemen fought in Korea. The state of journalism today is pathetic, including NBC/MSNBC. |
