|
|
Hi All,
I have to do some teacher training at my uni, however, I am training them for teaching kids (I have never taught kids). Yes, I know this is ludicrous, but this is also Korea.
Does anyone have some good resources on the internet for English games for kids (9-11 i think the age group will be), stuff that includes illustrations/flashcards would be immense.
I've found a bit of stuff, but no really good games or anything that includes flashcards or the like.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. please get a good search utility Dave's. |

Also
www.mes-english.com
If you have access to the internet in the classroom, ddeubel's videos on youtube are great as well. Some very useful stuff. |

Bump.
Anybody have ideas that they've actually used in class? As much as I love hangman. I'm looking for some new games. |

Blackboard scrabble.
My school has a small grid board that you can slide out.
If you don't have one, you can just draw your own grid.
Write a word in the middle, some random numbers in the grid.
Choose teams and your set. It may take a few examples for them to get the idea though.
The only difference from real scrabble is that they don't get letters, they can just come up with any word they like....but they have to spell it correctly.
1 point per letter + whatever number squares they can utilize.
Good luck |
