Wow, this device is pretty cool. It sounds really good. I'm impressed. so many high-quality recording options and on-the-fly .mp3 compression, which many other hand recorders won't do. Perfect for my up-and-coming podcast.

My podcast will be for teachers in SK. Any suggestions on people you'd like to hear from, or what might be good topics? I just paid a voice talent to make some liners/openers for me, and plan on making it sound professional. It's all coming together nicely.

Anyone have any suggestions about podcasting sites? Methods? Tips?

I'm all ears!

Thanks. I'm planning to interview my friends from Korvia (if they'll allow it) to talk about the untrue allegations that were posted about them stating they were charging South Africans money. I'm also hoping to interview EFL-Law guy about his new hagwon and the Asian EFL Journal/Rod Ellis TESOL certificate. I'm planning to talk to people from restaurants around town, or do some restaurant reviews. I will talk about job openings and that sort of thing, too.

Well, I've been screwing around with it a bit. I almost hesitate to put this up for content reasons (I have none, as I am in the US and heading home in a few days). You can hear my bumpers, though! haha.

Where did you pick up this recorder? And, if you don't mind, how much did it set you back?

I bought mine on the US on Amazon. I now wish I had purchased the Zoom H4, because the external mic input on the H2 I own is noisy, which makes it useless. The line level input seems OK though. The H4 has two quality mic inputs:

It's about $100 cheaper in the USA, of course.

Look for a possible podcast with Harpeau in the near future. He will chat about his individual/Korean couples counseling service in Seoul, and probably some additional things.

If anyone has any questions for Harpeau, please post or PM me.

And there is now an interview with Yu Bum Suk, where he talks about what it's like to teach at his public school:
