how do you transfer the balance from an old card to a new one? You can't do it at the places that recharge the card. |

I don't think you can - to get any kind of refund you have to send the card in - you do that by going to a mart - GS25 or Family Mart - and fill out the little envelopes they have there, send in the card with your bank acc info and in about 2 wks it will be in your bank acc
so if the card doesn't work, that's what you do - I've done it 2x and they always put the money in. |

Just curious but why do you want to refund it? |

I have the cell phone accessory t-money. In my experience, the cards suck. About 1 in every 10 scans you gotta rescan the card on the buses. It sucks standing at the front of the bus scanning your card over and over again while the damn machine tells you in Korean that the card can't be read. Also, if you have other cards in your wallet that uses RFID (door key), then it will f up the reading.
The cell phone accessory, or any of the others not shaped like a credit card read about 99% of the times. Always the 1st time, everytime.
Anyways, the accessory band broke so I had to buy a new one. |

yeah I had a few meltdowns in subway stations trying to get a refund when my card stopped working
glad I know how to deal with it now - but sh*t if it wasn't such an inferior piece of crap I wouldn't be having to deal w/it - oh well let's not go there -
and before anyone jumps on about this - I used the metrocard in nyc - similar product - no problem, used it for years, never had one konk out on me. here the tmoney konks out regularly at least every 6 months, sometimes brand new ones!! |
