Hi All,

I have to do some teacher training at my uni, however, I am training them for teaching kids (I have never taught kids). Yes, I know this is ludicrous, but this is also Korea.

Does anyone have some good resources on the internet for English games for kids (9-11 i think the age group will be), stuff that includes illustrations/flashcards would be immense.

I've found a bit of stuff, but no really good games or anything that includes flashcards or the like.

thanks mate, was hoping for some tried and tested sites, most that i have sifted through have been junk, some of these links seem good tho so cheers m8. ive googled this extensively but not found a site that had games as good as they had in the books on my celta course. need some books blatantly, internet isnt always a good resource!

I'd suggest anyone with a good printer check out our EFL Classroom 2.0 scribd pages. Great search engine too. Here are two books which might help you.

Blackboard scrabble.

My school has a small grid board that you can slide out.

If you don't have one, you can just draw your own grid.

Write a word in the middle, some random numbers in the grid.

Choose teams and your set. It may take a few examples for them to get the idea though.

The only difference from real scrabble is that they don't get letters, they can just come up with any word they like....but they have to spell it correctly.

1 point per letter + whatever number squares they can utilize.
