I was just looking at the jobs section and Busan college is offering a wopping 1.7 mil with a one -way airfare for up to 20 hours a week. Maybe if he received a few emails explaining what a joke that is he might add 50,000 won to that mega offer.

I'd string him along for about 6 weeks, send him a looseleaf copy of my degree and my transcripts on sticky paper, and tell him my visa number is 1.
It sounds like PT work which is fine if you have an F-type visa and can get more than one.

20 hours a week is not part time. Most university jobs vary from 10-20 hours a week. The better jobs are on the lower end of that and often pay more. I agree with the OP 1.7 is a joke.

Seems like the university jobs are crap in that you make little money and benefits, but you could hang out in Thailand in bungalow huts during that 4 months off. If I had a masters, I would not be teaching unless it's a high paying position. US $50,000 or more a year with the 3 or 4 months off we're talking. Of course, you can get university teaching gigs in Korea without the masters as I was offered this last year and declined the 15,000 won an hour early morning classes as I valued the 3 extra hours of early morning rest more than than that.
