E Mart where I live used to sell Cadbury Milky Bar and Dairymilk, only to replace it with that crap LG made? 70%, 80% stuff. It tastes like car tyre to me.

Not really related to Hershey's, but...

For Valentine's Day I was given all kinds of chocolates, ranging from Hersheys' kisses (which I gave back to the kids) to Fererro Rocher (I ate most of them) to a box of Belgian delicates (not bad, not great). There's one box which has no manufacturer's label on it that I can find, except something on the bottom which says Hyundae. Aside from that, I have no idea where it came from or what company made it. I pushed it to the back of the shelf and forgot about it, thinking it would would be total crap.

I found it and opened it the other day out of curiosity, and holy hell, it is some of the best chocolate I've ever had. Rich, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth chocolate enveloping a thin layer of chewy caramel over top of a soft chocolatey centre... divine! (Almost as good as Purdy's back home.)

Oh yes, the Hershey's Kisses were awful, but the kids loved 'em. Poor saps.

This thread is another one of those "everything (food, beer, women, men, whatever) is PERFECT in England" kind of thread.

SURE it is. That's why you're in Korea.Rolling Eyes

I'm an American.

I grew up eating Hershey's with Almonds.

Cadbury kicks its butt.

Because although chocholate and beer is a lot better in England, public safety, educational standards, job opportunities, quality of life ie the sort of things that actually matter are a lot better here.

Unlike Americans or Canadians we Brits can do without a few creature comforts.

Stop being so bloody nationalistic. Hersheys is just chocholate, don't take it so bloody personal. For the record Hersheys does taste horrible, when my sister brought some over from America I was excited to finally taste this legendary chocholate. What a dissapointment.

I question the taste buds of anyone who places Hersheys over cadburys.

Sorry. I was not being mean spirited. This is a thread about how a chocholate that looks like a turd actually tastes like a turd. Some people said cadburys tastes better. Someone then made a sarcastic "Oh yeah this is another England is so great thread, oh yeah that's why you came to Korea". I actually found that offensive.

You might hear some negative comments from Brits about Korea, but you should hear what we have to say about our own respective countries. We make talk wistfully for things we miss from back home but we do it with a sense of irony because there is a lot of crap we left behind as well.

I didn't want to start an argument but someone had a sly dig at the English so I responded in kind. I apologise if my comment upset any Amercans or Canadians, it was a joke and was not meant sincerely.

Hershey's isn't bad, until you open up your world and try other brands of chocolate. I like that Lindt brand or whatever it's called. Although Hershey's is bland, it's better than nothing, I guess.

I've noticed that most of the chocolate here tastes old and stale. It's much worse than back home. That could be why chocolate sucks here.

Yeah, I was very disapointed when I first tried Hershey's. I think Cadbury's has it beat hands down.

Hershey's is like eating rabbit droppings (don't ask how I know).

Hershey's chocolate is terrible... I had some today for the first time in months, that I had been saving for a long time from America, and I still hated it. It's sour(something like that...) and the texture is awful, not smooth at all. The sad thing is, they do it on purpose (the grittiness)! Look it up...

When kids give me those little Hershey's Kisses, I always just pass them on asap. The white chocolate ones are ok, but the brown ones really make me gag.

Are they really popular in North America? How is this possible??

How is it possible you are from a country that doesn't sell such a well known American brand? No doubt from the backwaters of the modern age.....

My dumbass dyslexic narcissistic FORMER roomate one day at school started jerking off about some European chocolate, so I walked to the map of America, pointed at PA, and said, "Hey! Chocolate begins and ends right here, in Hershey!" to which he told me I was so American.....and I thought, "Your Goddams right I am!"

Pardon me for the same story twice here, but I really love this one. And I tell it whenever I get a chance. Wink

Now as soon someone else invents a better mass-produced choco concoction, we'll talk. Until then, I will wait in anticipation for the next inslallment of those commercials with the witty M&M's in mortal peril.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_products_manufactured_by_The_Hershey_Company

Scroll down to the "Other Hershey's Candies" bit. Apparently Hershey manufactures Cadbury's in America so....

Oh, mini eggs are the best things EVER! I wish it was Easter everyday so I could eat them year round.

And to the Americans getting offended that the Brits don't like American chocolate, really? REALLY? We're talking about the country who enjoys eating things with names like mushy peas and bangers and mash. I am equally disgusted by the food that Brits ingest as I am sure they are with my eating Hershey chocolate. No biggie.

I'm assuming that was sarcastic... or was it? You kinda sound like a guy I used to work with who was the worst human I've ever met and was always talking about Hershey, Pennsylvania. Is it you, FAT BRIAN????
