Can anyone help me to do whatever it is I need to do so that I can access Internet content in Australia which is restricted to people who are actually in Australia?
I understand that there are ways to do it. But I have not tried to do it before because I could access what I needed without any trouble. It has recently started to change so that I cannot access more and more things I could before. Thanks to the Olympics it has now reached the point that the radio which I listen to much of the time to keep up on what is happening has over the weekend stopped letting those of us out of the country from hearing news bulletins (due to Olympic media restrictions).
In some ways I don't want to be able to access a lot, but what I want to access is important to me. If there was an option which allowed me to pay for the access I would pay ... But none exists.
Can someone tell me how to do it? Any pointers would be very much appreciated. |

I doubt that will work. Spoofing just allows you to send data, but not receive. The only way I can think of is perhaps using a proxy server which is located within Australia. |

I downloaded something called Hotspot Shield, http://www.anchorfree.com/downloads/hotspot-shield/ and changed my computer clock to a US timezone (I used EST). Once installed, all US sites recognize your IP address as US. It also gives you the easy option to disconnect the program to get back to your regular IP address.
With this setup you can get programming from NBC, ABC, FOX, etc.
It may work with Aussie programming. Not too sure. |
