Your situation is why one should get a tracking number when mailing this sort of thing. You only need to use a mode that gives tracking numbers. |

OP,
Best in the future to use either an express carrier (USPS Global, FedEx, DHL, etc) or as the previous poster stated, use standard int'l first class with TRACKING.
Regardless, normal 1st class from the USA to S. Korea takes anywhere from 7 to 14 days, and if the handwriting or address is at all misinterpreted, you can easily add a week.
I once had a friend send me an envelope of magazines, but he reversed two digits in the national postal code. It took nearly a month to get the package....and then I had to go and pick it up from postal customs on top of it.... |

I was informed via e-mail by the FBI CJIS DIVISION-CRIMINAL RECORD REQUEST that they postmailed my CRC via 1st class mail to South Korea on July 22nd, but I haven't received it yet, it's Augt 13th! Does it really take almost 2 weeks for 1st class mail to arrive in South Korea? How long does it take for 1st class mail from the USA to arrive in South Korea? Something smells funny about? |
If the address label is written in English and Korean you can expect mail in 7-14 days.
If English only and the school's name/address were used then 7-21 days.
If the address label is English only AND it was sent to your home address it may very well wait until the delivery person who can read it returns from holiday or it may have been mis-delivered and then god only knows if/when you will get it.
If you live in a villa, then check the other mailboxes and dead letters under the mail boxes. It may have been tossed there too.

Back to the OP:
My CBC took just over 4 weeks to get here. Snail mail. So be patient. I hope you have plenty of time before your renewal date. |

Another insecure cerebral wreck here in Korea?
Anyone else simply sick of being sick of the head cases? I guess the real question is "does anyone give a shit enough to care?" |

The mail can take a while.
Also, remember, that you are dealing with government bureaucrats with no incentive to put a "giddy-up" into things. |
