Where are the good ones and what kind of rate could I expect to get for changing 4mill won to US dollars? Is 1000 to 1 a reasonable expectation? The won seems to be taking a "well Being" wank again. |

Maybe you can find that lady in Itaewon that gave another poster 100 fake dollar bills (whatever happened to that story?) and ask her to pay you out in oneses?
That's just for laughs. I have no useful answer for you. |

Take a bus to Incheon airport and change your money at the "Woori bank currency Exchange" just inside the door at Incheon airport..
They will give you US$3,850.00...
(Of course it will cost you 50,000won for your bus journey to the airport and back and maybe 3 hours of time) - but you will still be left with US$3,800.00...
other places will only give you $3,000.00 ~ $3,400.00
(The black market money changers (bmmc)'s will keep the extra money and if you dispute it - claim that they are running on the rates offered by their "headquarters" not the bank).. |

shop around. They usually all have about the same rate, at best maybe there is a one won difference.
I have not exchange anything recently but I have never had a bad experience. Stick with brand new hundreds and you can't go wrong. If they try to slip you an old one ask them for a new one. They have never looked at me twice for asking. |
