Look on your fridge for a sticker that has the make and model number. That sticker will also have an after care (AC) phone number.
Give your Korean-speaking friend (or landlord) the phone number etc... and have them call the after care people. They will come and fix it. They may charge you a nominal fee (say 5000 won) for coming and if they change any parts, they will bill you at cost.
That rings true for almost any major electrical appliance, wherever in Korea you may live. |

| The repair cost will also depend on how old your appliance is. If it's too old, they might no longer have the part needed to fix it. |
