I will be flying to incheon via Korean Air and noticed they have duty free shopping in flight: http://www.cyberskyshop.com/english/SHOP/?key=fscl&CategoryCode=1

I was just wondering if any of you who just recently arrived who have perused the goods at incheon know which is a cheaper way to get ones hands on some good scotch (e.g. johnnie walker gold, johnnie walker blue highland park, macallen, etc.)

I've never been to an airport where you can buy duty-free once you have landed there as your final destination..........Get what you want before you fly out or on the plane.

You can take your airplane ticket to the duty free stores in COEX mall, right? Maybe it was a Samsung store? Also in Myongdong Lotte, perhaps? I know they're around.

Western booze is expensive in Korea. Choose wisely.

It's got nothing to do with international flights. It's the airport's set up. You can get duty free at several airports I have been to when you land.

Sydney and Singapore are two airports where you can buy duty free as soon as you land.

Get the Glenfiddich 18 or the Macallan 1851 Inspiration.
The prices are WAY cheaper than Korea; the duty on liquor is 72%

A note for people travelling. Careful is you have transfer point. I wanted to buy some Soju. Was going to Vancouver Via Tokyo. If I had my sojo would have been confiscated. Bloody 911.

Also not all prices on Duty free are equal. Some people can notice the price can vary by lots from airport to airport. Also avoid buying on the plane I generally think they are a rip off.

How does the Glenfiddich taste btw? I've got a bottle sitting 2 ft from me and the person I was going to give it to as a gift won't be receiving it (ever). I was going to buy a Johnny Walker Gold since Koreans love the well known names but the description of the Glenfiddich flavor won me over.

Glenfiddich is very good. Open that bottle and pour it over 1, or 2 cubes of ice to release the flavor.
