They did show it, though not volleyball (we won) or water polo (don't know), but wow what a game.

Way, way closer than I thought. I couldn't watch at certain points, stomach was in knots. And there's a certain point in the game where you said to yourself, "Spain could very well win this thing".

And the thing is, the USA played very, very well (except maybe on rotation defense). They shot lights out, both teams were well above 50 percent shooting. Our team just had trouble getting the loose balls.

That said, props to Spain. They played an incredible game. I mean just a few days ago we beat them by 35 points. And they were in this until the end.

Both teams fought hard, the level of play was exceptional. Probably the best Olympic final since the 72 one (I think it was) where the Russian's stole it.

That was actually a really good game. I am so glad it was entertaining. I thought for sure Spain would stay close during the first quarter and then get blown out, so hats off to them. That said, get that damn gold medal back into it's rightful hands! Kobe and D-Wade broke Spain off something nasty. How about Navarrao for Spain too, damn. USA all the way baby!

Let's just say Team USA had a little help. Like Cancer Man said of the 1980 hockey team, "Come now, you don't really believe in miracles, do you, Mr Muldar?" Wink

If I had any idea what your post means, I'd try to manage a coherent response. Sorry, I don't.

The US team had NOTHING at center. Bosh? Not exactly a dominating center. Spain was the first team with a legit center (Gasol) that could take advantage of Bosh.
