So, one of the schools I teach at (public, rural) has no indoor plumbing. It sucks, but I'm only there for a half day, so I virtually never have to deal with the latrines myself. The rest of the school is similarly shitty - bare concrete walls, etc.

However, I was just informed that over the summer they got those huge flatscreen TVs mounted in each classroom over the holidays, but still have no indoor bathrooms.

Now, call me crazy, but I'd think that indoor plumbing would be a little ahead of massive flatscreen tvs in the line of "stuff this school needs".

Ah, Korean logic.

Sort of reminds me of one university I worked at. They built an elevator for people in wheelchairs to get to the second floor but did not build a ramp for them to get into the building - I suppose they had to use the stairs in order to get to the elevator.
