... on 10 September 2008. Ticket prices from 1,000 Baht to 3,500 Baht (30 to 110 USD). I'm just posting this here in case anybody is in Bangkok at the time and has the money to spare (that's what one spends on a good night out in BKK anyway). I will be there a week later so I am Crying or Very sad

Tickets at www.thaiticketmajor.com or 0-2262-3456.

This will be at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center which means that there is not that much seating available, but the place will be more adequate for performances than the Thai Cultural Center.

WTF, these guys are actually coming to Korea NEXT WEEK?!? Looks like I did my research in the wrong order. Of course there is an important, evening business meeting on the same day for me! Curses!

I saw Benson in Seoul 4 or so years ago: an A-1 concert!

I'd go again, what a guitarist/singer...a long-time favourite of mine...

I'll try to get a ticket tomorrow... online didn't work for me. Might be able to move that meeting to another day.

I also saw Marcus Miller listed (for the same date?) but not sure if he plays the same concert (he doesn't really fit with the two gentlemen), has his own show or plays at all.

Seoulteacher, did you go? I went and almost got in on a free ticket from a Korean guy who had too many, but later his missing friend showed up and so I gave the ticket back Crying or Very sad It was for the 150K Won seats, too.

Anyway the show was great but I have the feeling that the hall is normally used for table tennis tournaments? Still good sound and a great show at 2.5 hours.

Will go again today to see Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke etc.

Also learned to write down bus numbers instead of memorising them. I got there on a 3412 and tried to get back on a 3214, thinking it was the same route. Ended up paying 10,000 Won for a taxi to get back from the bus depot at Midnight Embarassed

Orosee, pity about the almost-got-a-free-ticket! Undoubtedly nice while it lasted, and makes for a good story - better luck next time Smile

Reminds me of the opposite situation: years ago I bought two tickets to see 'Les Miserable' in London, but she stood me up. I was so annoyed that I went home at intermission, trying to give away the two tickets as I exited the theatre - but could find no takers!

And no, I didn't make it last week: I'm in Canada!

When I saw Benson (a few years ago), it was at Sejong Center, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sejong_Center_for_the_Performing_Arts ...a great venue, and also where I eventually did enjoy Les Miz in its entirety. Where did you see Benson?

And, yes, bus numbers and transpositions! I have a story of my own about no. transpositions (details best left unsaid), but it was in the Middle East - and if only it had cost me Won 10,000 only! You are right, better to write down numbers!
