Please pick your favorite genre from above. What would you most likely listen to? If you like two or more, please specify in a post.

Internet and Ipod music is subpar in terms of quality so my fav jazz and classical are panned in those formats: I listen to pop and rock, some blues, world and Australian acoustic on the 'net.

I listen to these in no particular order...Latin (salsa/bachata/samba/romantic), Korean R&B & pop, French/Parisian, synthpop, reggae and ambient genres.

you left out hardcore and punk though i often pose the argument that they should fall under the rock and roll category, and people just don't understand.

i listen to anything that is honest, aggressive and guitar-driven. i also have an affinity for people who are mentally ill.

favorite artists: black sabbath, black flag, bl'ast. fugazi, cro-mags, bad brains, neil young, NWA, nomeansno, pentagram, silkworm, tom waits, wu-tang, slayer, kool keith.

Hmm.. sounds like its across the board...

I'm thinking of setting up an internet radio station with music, as well as sprinkling my podcasts in maybe once per day. I'm researching it. The rules have changed A LOT, and I'd have to pay fees for licensing. There are also rules against how often I can play popular songs, etc.. Basically, the recording industry has done their best to make it something very difficult to do -- unless you just want a boring 3 hour song-loop -- and expensive, if you ever plan on playing ads. You still have to pay fees even if you don't run any ads. They have all kinds of funky new laws, like you can't announce upcoming songs, can't play the same song more than once an hour for three hours in a row. Really, really dumb. Obvious attempts at control and domination. I wonder how much they paid off gov't officials to lobby for that crap.

Anyway, if there were enough interest, it would be a fun thing to get going. Any ideas or advice? Sadly, it looks like the interests in music are soooo diverse...

Bullet FMV, Chimaira, KsE, Tool, It Dies To dies Today, This is Hell, Poison The Well, Norma Jean, NOFX, Millencolin, Bleeding Through, Deftones, Hatebreed, Lamb of God, RATM, Sparta, Throwdown

My favs are Joshua Radin, Brett Dennen, Pete Murry, Ani Difranco, Howie Day...
