So i'm finished from my hagwon this Tuesday! My director said he will go down to Immi and drop his sponsorship of my Visa... he said i do not need to go and he does not need the letter of release.

Is this correct? I was under the impression that I needed to be present with the LoR.

If your finished your contract that is all you need.

If you are finishing your contract early then you need to go with him. Once there you will cancel your visa and be given an exit order.

If you are transfering your visa to another employer, you need to obtain a letter of release and make sure taht he does not cancel your visa.

For clarification, I am leaving my school one month early and TRANSFERING my visa to EPIK! My director said that he will not cancel my visa but drop his sponsorship of it which will enable EPIK to pick up the sponsorship and renew it. But I'll just tell him that I was told I have to be present with the letter of release.

Have your coordinator at EPIK contact him and make the arangments. It will save many headaches for both you and him.
