| How long does it normally take for Korean stores to receive the new products? A few weeks or are we talking months? I'm looking at getting the iPod touch. I see the Korean Apple store online already has them up. Is it easy to order through them? I couldn't really see an english option anywhere. |

call the online store phone number. they speak english.
on the website it says they will be available in like 4-5 weeks. |

| You can walk into any electronic market and buy the iPod touch. I bought mine at Huyndai Department store (about three months ago), and a friend of mine bought his two weeks ago at Yongsan Electronic market. |

thanks but i think the OP means the new ones that were announced just yesterday...or does yongsan have a convenient time machine as well?  |

| yeah I mean the new ones announced yesterday with price cuts. They are about $100 cheaper and upgraded. Bit of a bummer for your friend who only bought his 2 weeks ago! |

| For ipods and apple products they pretty much get released at the same time as anywhere else in the world. I don't know the official release date but it should be the same as the US. |

I'm a bit sceptical that they are already here, I had heard that some US stores haven't even got them yet and the Korean Apple store says they should be available in 4-6 weeks.
I don't even know if I could tell the difference between the new and older ones just by looking as I'm not familiar with the 1st gen. I guess just look for the external volume buttons? |
