Hi,
I have a budget for my apartment and I want to buy a tv. My coteacher has bheen to Hi Mart and several LG and Samsung stores. I only have 300,000 won in my budget left. All the store people have told us that we cannot connect analog tvs to laptop. Is this true?? I thought all tvs are able to do that....as long as the tv can connect to dvds and other media...laptop shouldn't be a problem?? The store people were very adamant that analog tvs cannot do this. I don't even know what an analog tv is...I think they were just pushing us to buy their higher end TVs that I cannot afford. Help is needed. Please let me know if any tv is able to connect to my laptop. (I have the cables to connect them already btw). Had a super old tv at my old apartmetn and it worked just fine.
If someone can tell me where to buy a really nice tv (that can connect to my laptop) for under 300,000 please let me know. Links are ok as well Thanks! |

Yes, of course you can. Just do it the same way that you did with your old tv. The two main ways are to have an s-video to component (or is it composite, never keep 'em straight) splitter that leaves you with the red, white, and yellow A/V cable connections. Or, just use a s-video cable if the tv has an s-video connection.
HiMart's not bad for price, maybe look for a second hand shop or in the buy/sell forum if the budget is getting thin. |

well I have the cables to connect but the sales rep keep saying analog tvs aern't capable of connecting. Only HD or higher end tvs are...and those cost around 600,000 or more. I only have a budget of 300,000. So...analog tvs...or any tv would work right?? I just dont want to watch movies or shows on my laptop.. |

make sure theyre not mistaking it for using the TV as a monitor to work from, you can conenct it, watching movies etc will be fine. they probably think u wanna do word processing or some crap.
IT WILL WORK - DONT LISTEN TO THEM |
