I just talked to Joe and he's putting together a trip to China in January and want's to come here. So the question, would you go to a DOA show?
I know the regular Skunx crowd would come out but I'd love it if we could put them in a bigger place other than Skunx or Spots..etc. I can book them at Rolling Hall but a crap load of you Canuks would have to show up for them to make any money. Anyway's pass the word around. 30th anniversay tour. |

i'm pretty sure rolling hall costs about 1 million won to rent for a night. i'd put it on at SPOT to keep the tickets below the 30,000 price you'd need and to ensure that they played to more than 7 people in a huge place.
and yes, i would go if i was still in seoul. i used to work with wimpy. and yeah that's the only reason i'd go.

I'm a nomeansno fan...not a doa fan.
However, I'd still go. |

If I am still here, hell yes. Saw them back in 92 with Nomeansno. Still one of the best shows I have ever seen. |

I'd go and I'd support them, even though they're not 100% my thing. But I caution you, don't count on the Skunk crew for financial support. Most of the time for expensive tours the only ones getting in are the bands and their guests.
I've always wanted to bring the Wednesday Night Heroes who have a much bigger following here, but with Skunk closed I doubt it'll ever happen. |

If they're doing a tour of Japan, there's the option to fly over to Pusan which is just as cheap as going to Seoul, and there's a bevy of expats, Canadian or otherwise, who'd flock to see them. What's a good number? 500?
If they charged between 35,000-50,000, they could book KBS hall which is about a 1,500 seater. Joey S***head is the bomb! Loved his recent interview on Q.
Get in touch with the Pusanweb guys and if they advertise the hell out of it, people would come in from Daegu, Ulsan, Masan, and they could sell the place out and make some good coin on their way to Seoul. |
