|
|
Well, should he be? After watching King George's final plea to try and get Americans behind his bailout plan, I think it has even sunk in on him that eight years of his incompetence has brought America and possibly the world to its knees financially.
After his speech, he ran away from the podium with a look of defeat (priceless and long over due) instead of his usual know it all smug grin. Not even one condescending comment for the reporters. Even his Republican cronies are calling his bailout plan what it is...socialism at best.
So, how much longer will it be till George offs himself? |

And right before the vote, Nancy Pelosi, the top Democrat, couldn't resist trying to blame it all on Bush (when it's been going on since Clinton or earlier). She alienated everyone. Nice way to inject Partisanship and grandstand before an important vote.
I read that she has 5 houses that need bailing out.
Where do you think her feelings on this are at? |

Let's make it four stupid-ass posts in a row!
I think Barney Frank supported it because he's gay! |

i'm frankly surprised that he'd be considered to be on a suicide watch.
i'm more wondering why he hasn't been on an assassination watch. i thought americans loved guns? are they just lazy? it can't be that hard to whack the guy. |

Because of the one really smart thing that he and his father both did- choose an unbearable vice president.
If someone had whacked George Sr., we would have had Dan Quayle as president.
If someone had whacked George W., we would have had Dick Cheney as president.
No one would have wanted that! |

If Bush fails a suicide attempt of which crime is he prosecuted with? Attempt on the life of a president or attempted suicide? |

They do love guns.... ever heard of the Sex Pistols? Seriously though they are too lazy to kill the president. They just send him pretzels. |

Don't knock guns- they are real fun!
A flying scissor kick- now that would be an awesome death blow!
Bush would never kill himself. He's just the kind of dcik that needs to, but wouldn't.
It's like the guys in Motley Crue- how come none of them died? |

He's richer than he was 8 years ago. His family is richer. His friends are richer. Do you really think he cares what the American public thinks. I watched him give a speech at a small gathering, and he was joking and laughing about his low approval rating. He may be under a little pressure now, but he and his friends have been laughing all of the way to the bank for the last 8 years. After the bailout, I would bet that many more of his friends will get richer. He will go back to Texas -- where the economy is based on oil -- and still be relatively popular. Suicide watch? No, he's looking forward to the end of his stretch so he can get back to enjoying life full time. |

I say good for her. If it was for her partisan grandstanding, the American tax payer would be bailing out the rich. Thank god she had the courage to open her mouth and put an end to this foolishness as the American public desires. |

So umm, how're you going to get a mortgage if the banks won't lend? How're you going to put food on the table when there's no jobs because no businesses can get credit? |

Yeh...because if we don't give our hard earned money to those in corporate America who have proven they can't manage their own money...the world will collapse. Of course they are going to say that...guess what? They want our tax dollars so they can continue the party at our expense. |
