How can I play steam games like Counter-strike in a PC bang? Do I need to mask my IP?

Thanks

Download Steam and the games in question, I suppose. You need to have paid for them and have a Steam account.

After you log out of the PC Bang computer, everything you will have downloaded will be deleted (in most PC Bangs). So, you have to download it every time. Steam is very rare in PC Bangs, I don't think there are any other options.

if u got steam on a portable drive, take it with you and run it off that.

I used to have Steam backed up on my iPod, plug my iPod in at Uni and play a little til they blocked it.

But it worked perfectly, and u dont have to download and install steam everytime.

Just depends if they let you plug in at the PC bang or not.

He would have to install Steam and it's games to the portable drive. If it just had Steam then he'd have to download the games on the PC Bang's hard drive. It might work, but there might also be load issues (flash drives read slowly).

It's a good idea, in theory, but then again so is communism.

Just copy your entire install folder of Steam. I just tried it at home...still works, USB was well fast enough to play online.
If you find it too slow, copy the Steam folder directly onto the comptuer at the PC bang, then play.
It will and does work.

Thanks for your replies. I guess I should have specified a little more though. I can play single player steam games no problem. When I try to connect to the American servers to play online however, my connection is blocked. Anyone know a way to get around this?

probably the servers dnt allow connections from players outside of the US to keep pings down and bandwidth available.

Can you play on Korean servers?

Some servers also block PC bang steam accounts cos they are stolen and used for hacking.
