First off, Ddeubel's website is AWESOME! But, for some reason the computers at my school that are hooked up to the TVs won't load them properly. My personal laptop and my office computer play the games fine. The school has Powerpoint 93 for it's program, and the games are compatible with that.

For instance, when I download BAAM! and go to open it on the computer/TV, all the numbers are checked as if the game had just been played. It seems like it won't reload. All the number values are $1000, and are not varied like they should be.

I just want to say that in general, PPP work on the computers. For some reason, these games don't seem to want to work.

Has anyone had this problem and solved it? If so, help me! I can still play the games, but they are 100% better when used properly. What do you think is the matter? Can the IT guy fix this?

Do you mean they work in Powerpoint 2003?

Some of those games won't work in the old versions of pwpt. Some of the computers at my school have V. 2000.

You can fix this by downloading Powerpoint 2007 viewer.

That's another good suggestion by Horangi.....

I"ve been working on a flash version of BAAM, quicker loading and with more wrinkles...takes time to build (and learn!). Also, a new version and user friendly version of our "bot". + a million things In the meantime, just made up this BAAM game and thought I'd share here. It is for interviewing / asking the teacher. Well, every school has some sort of computer tech. Talk to them and test it with them at one of the class computers. Ask them to resolve it on all of the computers. OR, bring your laptop to class. That's what I do since my school is using antique computers.

It's best to download the pwpt reader install file and save to a USB thumb drive. Then you always have it. Never know when a computer will be reformatted (the answer to almost every computer problem it seems).

On the slow connection at work it took me around 4-5minutes to download. It doesn't take long to install. It's not the full program just a reader.

If you need it for class just do it. You are using the classroom too!

Some pwpts don't work correctly on the older versions of Powerpoint.

Yes download and save it.

Install it on the computer you want to use it on.

Then open the program, it will prompt you to choose your pwpt file and your golden.

NB I just installed Powerpoint reader 2007 on my office computer and it won't work for me.

Powerpoint Viewer 2003 will however. It's a smaller download.

Try installing Open Office and using the Impress application.

Then don't bother using it. Not every class has to look like an open lesson. Also you shouldn't have to accomidate for crappy equipment.
